Holidays are coming - Pink Christmas Trees

Another non-traditional tree, but probably one of the most fun options in my opinion. I love the color that these trees bring into the rooms.

Holidays are coming - White Christmas Trees

A white Christmas tree is not the traditional choice for most families but these pictures show that they can be just as beautiful as the green trees that are more common. I especially love the 2nd one in this group, the color story is wonderful.

Holidays are coming - Christmas tree inspiration

More holiday inspiration! Here are few "traditional" Christmas trees for this festive season. I love how different each tree looks and how easy it is to make a tree unique and special for your family.

Holidays are coming - great table setting inspiration

Holidays around the corner mean entertaining and dinner parties. I love different table settings and seeing how others decorate their tables, using color, texture and a variety of textiles and glassware. The possibilities are truly endless!

Great Idea! Kraft Paper table runner

I love this idea from Remodelista. I love having people over for dinner or game nights and this is a perfect way to keep things clean and super easy to clean up. She suggests using Kraft paper as a table runner - genius! This looks nice, crisp and clean and is pretty inexpensive and I love her idea of setting up colored pencils or markers on the table for your guests to write notes or leave a special doodle for you. I've seen this idea used many times in restaurants and it would be so easy to bring the idea home to your own table.

Found! Vintage School Desk

As I walked down to the store today I passed this wonderful vintage school desk sitting in my neighbors front yard - only $30 (I got it for $20)! I grabbed it, paid the wonderful gentleman who owned it and ran home before anyone could try to take it from me. What will I do with this desk? I have no idea but I love it. He told me it was from a school house in Virginia and it is at least 65 - 70 years old - so cool. (I know the pictures aren't too glamorous but my new find is being stored in our unfinished basement which is pretty un-glamorous too.)
Here is a bit of inspiration for me from the good old google image search.

I think I like it in the kids room or play room the best. But I do heart that amazing shop in Paris, I think I need to go sew there someday.

Collections on display - mini purses

I have a slight habit of starting off collections all the time, rather than keeping these collections stored away in a box somewhere I love to have them out on display. Today's subject is my collection of mini purses. It's not secret that I love purses - in all shapes and sizes. So over the years I have come across these little guys at garage sales and flea markets and picked them up to add to my little shelf in my studio.
